Lobby Day

On Thursday, March 11th, voters and taxpayers from across the state will converge on the Capitol in Springfield to call for an end to the death penalty in Illinois.

The death penalty in Illinois is ineffective and costly. It has led to twenty men being sentenced to death who were later exonerated. It also costs the state and tax payers more money than any other sentencing option while denying justice to the families of murder victims as they are kept in limbo for years.

The death penalty should be abolished in Illinois and you can help make that happen by coming to our lobby day!

Buses will depart from Chicago in the morning at 6 am sharply from the corner of Van Buren and Michigan Ave and will return to Chicago in the evening.There will be a fee for taking the bus down to Springfield.
